It’s the beginning of the month, which means it is the perfect time for a fresh start! While setting a year-long goal at the New Year is exciting, it can be daunting, and most of those long-term goals fall by the wayside without short-term goals to support them. Also, by setting monthly goals you can get yourself back on track quickly instead of waiting for the next year to create a fresh set of New Year’s resolutions.
At the beginning of each month – starting today – take a moment to assess where you are in your life and where you want to go. How far are you on that path? What steps can you take to move you in the right direction? Are there things you can do to increase your happiness and satisfaction with your life? Write down your thoughts, dreams, and hopes so you can base each month’s goals off of them, moving your life constantly towards a better tomorrow.
Life is busy and it can be easy to get off track. If you find yourself falling short on your goals one month, remember that the beginning of each month is a new opportunity to start again! You can also embrace more simple weekly goals, making it even easier and quicker to start over, getting back on track and staying on track.
Make certain that your goals are realistic and are something you can achieve in your set period of time. If you have larger goals you want to complete, than set small supporting goals that will help you break down those overarching goals into manageable steps. This is truly one of the keys to a successful and fulfilling life.
