Attorneys from our firm recently attended the semi-annual summit of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. The Academy is composed of 123 law firms throughout the United States who limit their practices primarily or exclusively to estate planning.
Extensive advanced training is offered to Academy attorneys twice a year for several days. We have found the training to be essential to maintaining our knowledge of the law, to understanding and implementing important changes in the law and estate planning strategies, and to keep sharpening the saw.
Much of the content of the semi-annual summits concentrates on advanced estate planning and taxation matters. In light of very important recent changes in state and federal laws, and the economic and governmental environment in general, it is very important to stay abreast in all areas of estate planning.
There are only two Arizona law firms that are authorized to hold membership in the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. We feel extremely fortunate that MH is one of the firms.
As members of the Academy, we have access to documents that have been prepared and perfected over the years. We have found the Academy documents and procedures, from creation of simple trusts, to health care directives, to complex estate and tax planning strategies, to helping clients create and pass their legacies, are unexcelled.
It gives our firm tremendous security and confidence to know that the services we provide.
