While finalizing plans for the July 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony, the organizers decided to get the band The Who to be one of the featured performers. A call was later placed to the manager of The Who to ask if their legendary drummer, Keith Moon, could play at the event. Manager Bill Curbishley responded, “I emailed back saying Keith now resides in Golders Green Crematorium, having lived up to The Who’s anthemic line, ‘I hope I die before I get old’. If you have a round table, some glasses and candles, we might be able to contact him.”
It’s no secret that Keith Moon has been dead for 34 years. Apparently someone on the Olympics committee didn’t do their homework. However, after Tupac’s recent surprise post-death hologram performance, perhaps audiences will see Keith Moon at the Olympics afterall.
None of us know whether we will “die before we get old” or live to a ripe old age. Plans need to be made early on to ensure that our wishes are met in case of disability or death. For a free consultation with an MH estate planning attorney, call 888.222.1328 today!
