Andrea Claus was born and raised in the cool climate and beautiful landscapes of Minnesota. But the warm desert of Arizona is where she chose to receive her education, raise her family and pursue her career as an estate planning attorney.

Andrea received her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Arizona State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After her studies at ASU, she went on to pursue a law degree at the Phoenix School of Law, where she was honored to be the recipient of the Governor Raul Castro Scholarship for Academic Excellence, and graduated Cum Laude. Andrea gained a great deal of experience during her years at law school, as well as commendation for her many hours of pro bono work. As a founding volunteer of the legal clinic for Save the Family, Andrea spent the majority of these hours assisting victims of domestic violence and the homeless.

While working towards her law degree, Andrea was published in the Phoenix Law Review and served as a staff editor for the publication. She received courtroom experience as a Rule 38 attorney for Juvenile Public Defenders Office at Durango and also interned with the Attorney General’s Office in the Civil Rights Division. Afterwards, Andrea began an internship with the law firm of Morris Hall.

After spending several semesters interning at Morris Hall, Andrea decided to continue with the firm as an attorney upon passing the Arizona Bar exam. Andrea was drawn to the firm’s comprehensive approach to estate planning as well as the sincere care expressed for the clients. She also learned the value of proper planning and how important it is for a person’s hard-earned assets to be protected and distributed in accordance with their wishes.

Having her own family has helped Andrea to understand the need, not only for a living trust, but also for vital health care documents. She and her husband met back in 1998 and have been blessed with 3 beautiful girls, including a set of twins. Along with her legal work at Morris Hall, and being a wife and mother, she also enjoys membership with the Grace Lutheran Church and the Lorna Lockwood Inn of Courts.

Andrea’s kind and positive nature combined with her intelligence, ambition and excellence in legal matters make her an ideal addition to the Morris Hall team.
